Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Greenfield Music Sync (the “app”) accesses, uses, stores and shares Google user data. Its home page is here.

1. Who we are

Greenfield Music Sync is a private tool operated by Greenfield Investments. Contact: support@GreenfieldInvestments.com.

2. What Google user data the app accesses

The app uses the YouTube Data API with the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube scope. Through it, the app accesses:

• the YouTube channel name and ID;
• the account’s playlists (titles, descriptions and privacy setting); and
• the videos in those playlists (video IDs, titles and channel names).

This scope also allows the app to create, rename and delete playlists and to add or remove videos in them. The app does this only on the account owner’s instruction.

The app does not access Gmail, contacts, Drive, location, watch history, comments, subscriptions or uploads, and it does not post or upload videos.

3. How the data is used

Only to show the owner their playlists and to organise them as the owner requests: grouping by genre or mood, removing duplicates, renaming, and removal.

4. Storage and security

OAuth tokens and playlist metadata are stored on private servers controlled by Greenfield Investments, with access restricted to the operator. Data is transmitted over HTTPS and is never stored in public repositories.

5. Sharing

We do not sell Google user data and do not use it for advertising. We do not share it with third parties, with one exception: playlist and track names (titles and artist or channel names only — never account credentials) may be sent to Anthropic’s Claude AI service to classify songs by genre and to suggest how to organise the owner’s playlists. Anthropic processes this data under its commercial terms, and it is not used to train AI models. There are no other transfers, except where required by law.

6. Limited Use disclosure

Greenfield Music Sync’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

7. YouTube API Services

Greenfield Music Sync uses YouTube API Services. By using it you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms). See also the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).

8. Retention and deletion

Data is kept only while the app is in use. The owner can ask for deletion at any time via support@GreenfieldInvestments.com. Tokens and stored playlist data are deleted when access is revoked or on request.

9. Revoking access

Access can be revoked at any time in Google’s security settings: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions (also https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions).
